AHERA Building Inspector
EPA regulations require that all asbestos samples collected from public commercial/industrial and school facilities be obtained by an Accredited AHERA Building Inspector. This course satisfies the requirements outlined in the April 1994 EPA Model Accreditation Plan (MAP) and the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). It is recommended for anyone conducting building surveys for the presence of asbestos-containing materials. This would include industrial hygienists, engineers, architects, property managers, regulator personnel and environmental consultants.

AHERA Management Planner
The AHERA/ASHARA regulations require that school districts whose buildings contain asbestos must develop management plans for each building. The management plan is a formal document that specifies training, cleaning, work practices, and surveillance to maintain asbestos-containing materials in good condition. Those who design, review and modify these plans must receive accreditation.
