OSHA’S HAZARD COMMUNICATION STANDARD IS GOING GLOBAL

OSHA is changing the way the United States looks at Hazard Communication. "Exposure to hazardous chemicals is one of the most serious threats facing American workers today," said U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis. "Revising OSHA's Hazard Communication standard will improve the quality and consistency of hazard information, making it safer for workers to do their jobs and easier for employers to stay competitive."
Plans to align the Hazard Communication Standard used in the United States with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) require employers to complete training on the updated standard by December 1, 2013. EPA CHANGES

Changes to 2008 Lead RRP Rule May Affect Your Renovation Project. The EPA has finalized a Clearance Rule that will amend the RRP Rule. The impending changes affect collection of paint chip samples.
